Christmas Fair San Miguel California

Post date: Dec 19, 2015 5:0:1 AM

San Miguel has its annual Christmas craft/vendors fair tomorrow, Dec. 19, 2 to 6-ish, then its annual Christmas Lights Parade at 6-ish. I'll be there, with spinning wheel, drop spindle, handspun yarn and hand loomed hats for sale. Showers predicted - all the better! Bring on the rain! Plenty of shelter! Chili Cook-off scheduled for 4:30.

The parade is charming, if you're in the area and looking for a small-town parade with a few old cars, fire engines, horses and ponies, kids singing on the back of flat bed trucks, and who knows what else... be there around 6 pm. Lots of Christmas spirit.

If anything unusual or noteworthy happens, I'll report back.

UPDATE - Raining like cats and dogs here! Will they cancel...? Still waiting to hear...

Ork! Lots of lovely rain so far today and more predicted for this afternoon, hooray! Love the rain! Official says the fair and parade will proceed as planned. However, we pretty much decided that we can't transport spinning wheel, yarn, wool, etc. in the rain and sit in the cold and wet. So, decided not to go.

See you at Sagebrush Days in April!
